Some people are born with, or develop, some kind of tuner, like a radio dial set just right, that allows them to be a conduit between dimensions. They are a medium of this energy from the other side, a signal passes through them. This signal is often subject to the experiences of the individual, the other side knows how to transmit information through them using symbols, language, pictures, or other types of thoughts that these people learn to interpret. Long a source of scams, it's true that some take advantage of others by faking, reading nonverbal cues from the sitter, or just plain lying. It is also true that some are real, and will surprise you.
For the skeptics, no one can blame you. It seems crazy. I suggest starting with George Anderson's story, it is the source of a fork in the road that changed everything and shattered my discouraged belief system so it could be reassembled over the next 30 years of my life. George never wanted his ability, he turned it off after it repeatedly got him in trouble. Read the book, "We Don't Die." This will open you up to some new ideas and make you wonder, George is a fantastic medium, and a wonderful human. From there, get into some science on the subject. The prove it to me crowd, (nothing wrong with this) will open their eyes a little wider after reading Dr. Gary Schwartz's book "The Afterlife Experiments." He put some mediums through controlled experiments, the results of which may knock your socks off. This is just a start. Check out these other mediums as well.
Scientific Research and Testing
Serious scientific institutions have studied mediumship with remarkable results:
Rigorous scientific study of mediums under controlled conditions.
Reported findings and focus:
- Uses blinded protocols in some mediumship research to reduce cueing and cold-reading explanations.
- In some published designs, sitter scoring and statistical analysis have been reported as exceeding chance.
- Also studies related experiences around grief, end-of-life phenomena, and after-death communication (ADCs).
Dr. Gary Schwartz’s afterlife experiments with certified mediums.
Reported findings and focus:
- Experiments have used sitter scoring of medium statements, with some reports claiming accuracy above chance.
- Some reports include specific details (relationships, names, personal facts) for later confirmation.
- This body of work is also discussed critically by others; conclusions depend heavily on the controls used and the scoring method.
Division of Perceptual Studies researching survival of consciousness.
Reported findings and focus:
- Long-running research program on survival-related phenomena (including NDEs, end-of-life experiences, and cases suggestive of reincarnation).
- Documents recurring patterns across cases and highlights instances where reported details are checked against records or witnesses.
- Emphasizes careful case investigation and documentation rather than claiming a single “proof” from any one case.
Over 130 years of research into paranormal and mediumship-related phenomena.
Reported findings and focus:
- Maintains a long publication record spanning case investigations and experimental work on psychical phenomena.
- Provides both supportive and skeptical analyses, showing how claims were evaluated and what controls were considered necessary.
- Useful for understanding the history of evidence, debate, and methodology—not just conclusions.
Consciousness research including studies related to intuition and anomalous experience.
Reported findings and focus:
- Supports research on intuition and anomalous experience within broader consciousness studies.
- In some programs and meta-analyses, small statistical effects have been reported under controlled conditions.
- Often emphasizes transparency, preregistration, and independent replication as the standard for stronger conclusions.

The Greater Purpose
In my opinion, mediums show us the continuity of our life, the message that we survive our physical death and return to a place of total love and acceptance, and that we are embraced by those who have gone on before us constantly. When we come to accept or entertain the thought that we don’t die, the choice is now on each of us to decide what we do with that information. I hope you choose to do what you can to spread love, remove your judgement of others, and help spread the word that we are all made of love.
